Calderwood College is not real. It is a fictional college built for interview practice, and the person you talk to is an AI playing an admissions officer. Nothing here describes an actual institution, and nothing you say goes on any record that follows you anywhere.
Your conversation is read by an AI. What you type is sent to Anthropic, the company that makes the model, so it can hold the conversation and afterwards write your debrief. That is the only reason it is sent anywhere.
We ask who you are only at the end. You can do the entire interview without telling us anything. If you want the full debrief we ask for your name, your email, which description fits you, and one question about what worries you when choosing a college. You can close the window instead.
What we do with your email. Your debrief appears on screen as soon as you submit the form — we do not email it to you. We keep your address so we can occasionally send something about our work on college financial health, and every one of those has an unsubscribe link. We do not sell your information or hand it to advertisers.
Under 13. This is not for children under 13. If you tell us you are, we do not ask for an email, we do not show the debrief, and we delete the whole session — every word of it — straight away. If you are 13 to 17 we ask for a parent or guardian's email rather than your own, and we say so on the form.
Sharing your debrief. We create a link you can send to a parent or a counselor. There is a checkbox to turn that off before you submit. A shared debrief never shows your name, your email, or the transcript of what you said — only the feedback itself.
Please don't type sensitive details. No Social Security numbers, tax or financial aid documents, account numbers, or health information. The interviewer is instructed to stop you and move on if you start to, and none of it is needed here.
